Today is a good day to die or to live?

     I did not get inspired from a movie I have heard recently. After playing computer game Rome : Total War plenty times , it takes a place in your life easily. In the field the general takes his sword out on the horse and shouts to the crowds "Today is a good day to die!!!". And all the chorots start making brutal vocal like a death metal band.

   However my point is not as simple as explaining , understanding or living wars.Yesterday one of the genius ,the most talented pianists ; composer ,intellectual and many other identities beside his music ;has been to court because of insulting a religion. Fazıl SAY.He is one of the worths of this beautiful planet.

   I am especially not concerned or obsessed about one religion. I am concerned about extreme religious people. As many of you know ,religions are here on earth for few purposes. Basicly to tame your inner extreme desires and have a proper , simple life on God's way. Any religion can not be in this world or any holly religion let's say , to make people hate others or any living creatures. It is this much easy to digest the philosophy of religions. Religions have more apothegms in total than any other thinkers',leaders',singers' , artists' apothegms in understanding sense. Constitutively it only leads us to and for good and saves and/or prevents us from bad. Religions have been explained enough in too many different platforms,sociologically, and/or in religious sense. I will not explain more about it.

   Either you read the link or my article first , the situation is not that simple to pass over for me. This is crudely shame. I can not find any better word to express my feelings. This situation is as deep as human history or as old as big bang. We can give billions of examples like this in history but the deadly question is for me " Why even now?". Now means Cern , means Felix , means 21st Century with all the improvements and developments in some senses. OR shall we ask "why even now althought the century we are in"?

   Not long time ago , just a month ago this world was dealing with religion provocations. Many people who even have not seen the movie or caricature which is about to tease or insult the holly messenger of a religion ,were protesting and in some underdeveloped countries it showed itself with violence. Have we seen a different picture when 9/11 happened? People just wanted to take vengeance on the other religion believers or supporters, because people were all in agony. There must be a responsible of all. Whom should have been judged as guilty in both pictures? Civil believers or members of eastern and western countries? The States are in real golden age , we can not carry even a bottle of water in airplanes and in the near future if something happens because of our stool , they will not hesitate to analyse it before flying. Fears to be able to control people.

   Some people would ask what is the connection between Fazıl SAY and holly religions , western people and eastern people. These are the reflections of maybe 50-60 years politics also by the communication tools developments' help. Yes we communicate easier without willing. While we are communicating , we are usually easily manipulated and provoked also with our prejudices. People are all hurt in both sides , their feelings have been hurt for many years day by day , step by step , although we were too close the world peace after World War II. We could easily raise up a different generation than any other century had. Now those hurt people in both sides can be easily offended. People who are still in trauma , are trying to find a way out. How can a simple mind take revenge? How can a simple mind be relieved? Could they show their anger to rulers? We are talking about people in trauma for umpteen years emotionally , physically. Who can they take the revenge from? A target which is the closest? This case can not be explained as a simple ordinary case. Everyone has responsibility in this case. Can we live with ignoring the other side of the world , until it touches to our lives badly? Ignorance which has a great menu to feed itself , also vengeance , also hatred...

   Believe it or not Turkey is a unique country which have almost all the beauties of this planet ,however not a unique country in political problems , in humanity problems , in free thought problems. Fazıl Say is just a sample to show simple minds justice on their eyes. An easy target to load ,to empty all their hatreds. Because they are believed that except their believes nothing else is right. As same as idea of muslims are potential terrorist in the western countries. We are just believed. Which religion gives you this right? Which belief? Is Today a really good day to die? Would your God prefer you to be ignorant ?

   Fazıl Say , who just wants his country enlightened , who wants to see his people in better conditions ; is facing one of the umpteen shame cases in his country. Just because of a poem of Omar Khayyam who is another genius on my side , who is the craziest person if I think the century of his poems. Many people would hate him easily but he deserves a great respect to his talent and craziness. This case is an enforcement or fear against free thought and noone who is sensible , can pass over it easily.

   P.S : During the article I did not concern about any religion especially , because I have seen many people who have no difference in mind sense , just different in language or culture etc. Radical believes can not belong to one religion. If you are wondering who the hell I am , I am a humble thinker. That is all. No great academic carrier , just observations of this beautiful planet to make it more beautiful. With all respect!

Curiosity

    I know day by day, will find a way out to improve and free my mind and learn how to express myself.
I read what I wrote yesterday , it sounds boring enough. I could not find anything except questions in it. Thinking millions of abstract facts and combining them together ,could give you a salad to consume. I know there will be always some spices to give a taste - perhaps only my taste- but it does not look like a delicious salad. While I am reading I think , put whatever I found on my mind. Some of them are common , cliche and answered. This will not make me satisfied. You always can make determinations but as you see opinions which sound right and fill each wholes ; you step forward to change the mistaken parts of your life(I do not know if I can change myself , habbits and more during this venture).

    I have been or felt foreigner ,alien in childhood, in my hometown , in my country and normally in London.
When I think about my roots , I would not imagine myself here in Brick Lane , typing intangible ideas in English.

   A quick story to begin, when I was a kid , our neighbour once warned me not to whistle in closed areas(like apartment buildings ) and added "I would call evil by whistling". My life has begun just with this silly childish question. I asked myself ,just to myself , not to anyone else , "How come?" You are extremely excited about your whistling skill ; an older human who you believe with no doubts, warns and your first spark , confusion comes into your life. And never stopped entering my life , we can call as superstitions , believes , traditions , languages , etc.

   While I was thinking of the name of the title , Einstein showed himself from hell! After being in between "consume no matter how" and "curiosity"!

    I will go back to being an alien in this rich life. When I was at age 5-6 , that old uncle touched into my life with these words : curiosity , evil , invisible things , etc( I have kept whistling and I believe ,as a smoker ; have developed my breathe-control and mostly it relaxes my body). I am sure he was just concerned about the noise but describing the fact could have made me obey to the system , but think about a child who has no idea about evil and I am sure children are more brave than matures. You are free to be crazy and noone can judge your imaginations till a spesific period.
  
   Trying to guess and then understand human behavior is harder than inventing a thing. What makes me say previous sentence. At the end of age 20s , probably because of being physically mature ,you begin giving up discovering your inner feelings and society compels you to concern about more serious expectations. A strong connection of this period or breaking point in your personal time , should be being in less control. You do not have strong parents' control which dismantle your walls however on the contary this freedom or the position that identified like 'freedom' is an illusion. Just because of limits you had before ,are not similar to your new time. The societies' enforcements take you to a different situation. The necessities will be written again. Do we need all these necessities? Does curiosity make us spend our time in material flavours? Do personal manners only should belong to believes , religions? Should everyone consume and obey what the system or society gives? What really makes us think less and consume more? I can expand the questions like in my previous boring article. Another critical question which I believe shall be answered is "ARE WE JUST TRYING NOT TO GET BORED WHILE WE ARE WAITING TO DIE?" , just to avoid the reality or the idea of death. It can be easily answered with one life. In common belief everyone has one life , and the time can not be taken back. Even if we will die , why consuming can not make us happy enough? Do you think you are happy enough?

   In Idiocracy movie which has an interesting subject unless it is a bad comedy movie , in 500 years , people who has lower IQ give more low IQ'ed children and a small group who has high IQ level always concern about their future children and High IQ'ed group decides not to have children in this kind of world. Easy to guess what kind of human things will happen for whom has not seen. There are plenty of movies similar to Idiocracy. The point I am concerned , the great ideas  from 18th to 21st century which shaped our world and we felt like changed the chemistry of the humanity ,have become dreams. With the speed of todays' world , changings are incredibly out of control , and mostly to control our lives. The governments are in their golden age. How can I stand against this enforcement? Feeling odd compare to other social apes. I do not think we have got different rules than other social living things. Until we change the codes of our genes , we will bequeath our wild part. I need to admit that we are as free as we ignore the rules , consciously and/or unconsciously.

   In this long and seeming endless journey comparing to our life span we will keep questioning. Thus we have to discover and invent non-stop , because we are the biggest migrant group of this nature who have thinking skills and are curious and perfectionist.

   Is it ruthless to call people who are just born to consume , obey and die ; are just chickens in city henhouses?

Many of you have asked the same questions in many different languages. Many of you found reasonable answers , many of you have given up after meeting love , religion and/or money which is the biggest invention , or even found all in the same life , constantly , had a business not to think of life.
Questioning the life, so human and in many cases it is definitely innocent. "What are we? Who are we?
Why?". Being extremely curious about past, about future, celebrities life , and searching for curiosity.

I want to think and force myself to find some answers to my lovely unanswered ideas. What do we consume,
who do we consume , why do we consume?

Knowing the history , knowing the feelings , behaving like all the other people do. People are working to be able to consume or trying to be born or be regenerated in a socially secured country. Maslov's Hierarchy of needs will give us satisfying answers and examples , but did he really frame our needs in right place? Has he given us many other questions rather than answering them?

I do not know any other living thing which can imitate , digest the idea in itself , improve better than
human beings. We are born and start imitating. Imitate everything without asking why. Does it make us better learner? One of the fateful image on my mind is the movie '2001 Space Odyssey'. In a primitive group one member who has the first examples of ego , discovers his hands' abilities. Using a thing to be stronger than other groups and/or even members. Now in this world , we still can see the simple samples of these life forms ,who are treated gently and produced just for this civilisation by the government. We are produced to consume. We are 7 bilions of children who are produced to be useful on a purpose , sometimes for five minutes to be used by your boss , sometimes just to make someone jealous , to feel as a member of a civilised or non-civilised group. We ,the human beings are in the biggest farm of the world. City Farms!

Let me explain these City Farms! Mainly include people skilled in different abilities. In some farms you learn what they teach , in some farms you think you learn what your dream is, freely. We are born with all desires and greeds with previous experiences , like our parents' dreams. We start being grown until a certain level
with a limited link with nature. It can be described like city nature. Unfortunatelly we can not decide where to be born. We open our eyes and start 'living' in a wonderland while we are dreaming of neverland. First we learn basic manners(sounds nicer than rules) , how to behave in social places. We learn what is good and bad. We have teachers who really think they love us and first teachers are parents. After you reach a certain level , rulers think parents are not capable enough or trustworthy to shape the member of the civilisation and
you begin to be 'city'lised. You get many choices until you are at age 20s and there will be some other breaking points until you are retired around 60s. You become addicted to City which has all anesthetic and/or anodyne goods. Living and nonliving things surround you and you give meanings , feelings , names to things and you just know one important rule. You have to belong to somewhere , someone and something.
There is a critical question for me now. 'What does nature mean?' Have we got biological differences compare to poor African citizens? Have we got better or bigger stomach?

I know I have not written anything scientific or literary and no answers at all! Was it better few centuries ago? Having absolutelly no idea about other "worlds". Being less. Producing less. Eating less. The argument can be the freedom with actual meaning. Are we free? Are we free to buy? to die...? or to lie?

How do we consider to consume our lives? Should I start with stopping questioning? I am a beginner in blogs. Please show some mercy to yourself.
